Student Success Workshops

Looking to build skills that will help you succeed at UNM and beyond? The College of Arts & Sciences Center for Academic Success will be partnering with several campus resources to offer multiple one-hour Student Success Workshops and Information Series open to all A&S undergraduate students.
These interactive workshops are led by expert facilitators from across campus and cover practical topics to support your academic, personal, and professional goals, including:
- Open discussions on our approaches to time management, motivation, and study strategies
- Learning strategies from Student Learning Support (Center for Teaching & Learning)
- Financial aid and money matters
- Getting involved in undergraduate research
- Campus resources and ways to get connected
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen your skills, these workshops are a great way to invest an hour in your success. Snacks are provided for in-person sessions, and you’ll leave with tools you can use right away.

Spring 2026 Workshop & Information Series Schedule
In-Person: Show up and sign in with an academic advisor
Location: All workshops will be held in the Conference Room of the A&S Center for Academic Success, located in Suite 135 of the University Advisement & Enrichment Center (UAEC, Building 85 on the campus map).
Instructions: Let the front desk know that you are here to attend a workshop and we will get you signed-in when you arrive at the conference room.

- STEM Tutoring: one-on-one tutoring in STEM course content via in person and online modalities
- Writing and Languages Tutoring: writing support and language conversation groups via in person and online modalities
- Supplemental Instruction (SI): peer-led instruction outside the classroom in a collaborative learning setting that targets historically difficult courses
- Learning Strategies: study skills and metacognition support in group and individual settings
- Online Learning Assistance: embedded tutors assigned to fully remote courses who provide content support and online community building
