Advising Philosophy

My advising philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student deserves a supportive, knowledgeable partner as they navigate their academic journey. I view advising as a collaborative relationship built on trust, open communication, and a genuine commitment to student success. My goal is to help students feel informed, confident, and empowered to make decisions that align with their academic, personal, and professional goals.
I hope students leave advising appointments with more than just answers to their immediate questions. I want them to leave with a better understanding of their academic path, greater confidence in their decision-making, and a stronger sense of connection to the university community. By combining knowledge, empathy, and a student-centered approach, I strive to support both individual student success and the broader goals of retention, persistence, and graduation.
