Advising Philosophy
With 13 years of experience as an educator within the Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) system, I have developed a student-centered approach to learning that meets students where they are. I tailor educational pathways to support individual needs, fostering both personal growth and academic achievement. I take the time to understand each student’s interests, aspirations, and strengths, while also identifying areas for development.
As a proud University of New Mexico alum, I recognize the importance of having a trusted advisor on campus to provide guidance and answer questions. My goal is to help each student I work with achieve their objectives, stay accountable to their educational journey, and ultimately realize their dreams. I believe that student success is a team effort, and I am committed to supporting, coaching, and celebrating every achievement along the way. I look forward to being part of your journey and helping you reach your goals!
About Me
I am a proud native of New Mexico, having spent most of my life in Albuquerque. I graduated from Rio Rancho High School and later attended the University of New Mexico, where I met my husband. We are both proud UNM alumni, each earning a Bachelor of Science in Education. Now, as parents of two, we hope to see our children become future Lobos as well! Currently, I am pursuing my second bachelor's degree, this time in Flamenco. Outside of academics, I enjoy taking boxing classes, exploring the Bosque and Foothills, shopping at local markets, and creating art.
